PASS: The New Way To Share Photos

I am always looking to be more innovative to stand out for my business as a wedding photographer. This software called PASS is definitely a photographer’s DREAM! With PASS you’ll get the photos faster and beautifully packaged in your custom online gallery and app. They will be completely secure in the cloud so you don’t have to worry about all the problems that come along with DVDs. Get Excited.

Screen shot 2013-04-25 at 10.23.19 AM.png

Here is a sample of an engagement shoot where I upload the photos to PASS and the photos were in the palm of their hands of their mobile or tablet; quick and easy! PASS has a pinterest-style which is beyond beautiful! Every gallery has a 30 day expiration so once upgraded (it could be upgraded by you or the client), the gallery is up for 1 year.

On the left, as this engagement shoot had 1 collection. For weddings, you can go through different collections such as getting ready, groomsmen, brides, reception to make it easier for everyone and guests to jump from one collection to the other. Also you can download all your photos all at one time! How awesome is that? You no longer have to worry about DVD’s being scratch ;-)

Guests can leave a little LOVE note here, it’s like a digital guestbook :-)

Here you is when you click on a photo and on the right-side are the sharing options which I absolutely LOVE! You can share your photos via Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Email! The print option will be available soon which I am excited about! What’s amazing is that anytime my photo is shared, my photo credit is implemented to every single photo so that everyone knows who was the photographer :-)

PASS can be used for any type of photography whether you do weddings, family, seniors, fashion, etc. It’s a very powerful tool that photographer’s will be able to book more clients and have a simple workflow.

Sharis: Senior | LSU Campus | Tigerland

I had a little bit of downtime this month during wedding season and started to do some senior shoots! Standing at 5‘2”, Sharis is a definite example of LSU triumph. I felt that I already knew her just from talking and meeting her for the first time. I think that’s what made this senior session POP lol! We had so much fun around LSU campus. We discussed about shooting in different locations in the Baton Rouge area but I figured that since she’s graduating from LSU, what better place to do a 2 hour session right from the school she’s graduating from in May! Little did I know that I knew her sister all along, what a SMALL world!! She is earning a bachelor’s degree in Biological Engineering. Don’t forget to check out her + site sharissteib.tyrellbanksphotography.com

A little bit of Baton Rouge History

I’ve been in Baton Rouge all of my life and I never took the time to really know how Baton Rouge was established except when I was in school lol! It is amazing how 300+ years of history is still here. Think about it, what did Baton Rouge looked like in the 1800s? From the roads, highways, schools, the reign of the late Governor Huey P. Long in the 1930s, and making way for the State Capitol. I find that it is important how a city has come a long way. So after I was done with a senior session, I decided to take a few photos of some of the landmarks of Downtown Baton Rouge.

This is the Huey P. Long statue right in the heart of Capitol Park. History states that his graveyard is right beneath the statue

This building use to be LSU campus before it moved to South Baton Rouge near Highland Rd. It was founded as a military academy. The State Capitol was making way for Downtown right across the street. This building is now a musuem for Louisiana history.

Graduation is coming up!

We are choosing 1 LSU graduate to spend the day with and capture their entire graduation day with their family & friends!

Send us your name, major of study and 1-2 photos of yourself to tyrellbanksphotography@gmail.com and tell us why your graduation day means so much to you! :)

Engaged: Courtney + Larren

This was a beautiful engagement shoot! The weather was beautiful, just right for a couple like Courtney & Larren. To me, it seems like they have done this before because they were so natural at different poses, which made it easier for me to capture all of it! lol. Oh how I love couples that are easy going and make the shoot fun. It definitely shows out my personality! Their wedding is set for August 24 :)

Erika's Bridal Bliss

Shooting a beautiful bride in her dress..weeks away from the wedding :). I never knew of such a unique, vintage place called The Bayou Vermillion  in Lafayette. The weather was gloomy, the sun was covered. Not too many days you get gloomy weather in Louisiana for a bridal shoot. It’s almost like you have to time it lol! Erika was a natural. So many different locations there I wanted to photograph. It even had houses that matched her wedding colors. Can’t wait to blog the wedding :)

Metairie Wedding: Tim + Karen

I enjoyed capturing Tim & Karen’s wedding! There were so many tears of joy moments before, during and after the ceremony. The ceremony & reception was held at The Ridgeway and it was absolutely beautiful! I’m a detail shooting kind of guy so I wanted so I try to get as many details as possible, even it’s the most unnoticable! They got married March 2 which is the same day they got engaged 2 years ago. How romantic is that? :) Their wedding was filmed by TLC’s most popular wedding show FOUR WEDDINGS. So you all might catch me moving here & there when the show airs in July.

Miss Louisiana Pageant 2014 - Amber

Me and Amber have been facebook friends for quite some time now. Last year in New Orleans of June 2012 while doing a bridal shoot, I was asking a woman for directions to a flower place in the downtown area. Little did I know, Amber was the woman! It didn’t hit me until she said, “Isn’t your name Tyrell?” So I knew exactly who she was because I’m great at remembering faces so I gave her my business card. She contacted me for promotional headshots for Miss Louisiana Pageant 2014 this month so I was able to squeeze her on a sunny Sunday! I want her to win the pageant!! Go Amber!! :)
